Tatham Fells Old School is a picturesque building next to the Church of the Good Shepherd, in the lovely hilly setting of the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with excellent potential for sketching.

David and Hannah Davies:
Pastel techniques, textures and materials;
Love for colour, its balance, interaction and influence. |
Thursday morning |
Peter Osborne: Development of creative ideas.
Peter was head of Blackburn Art School. |
Thursday afternoon |
Tutors will discuss work and development with participants. |
Course fees and Booking
£50 per day or £150 for 4 days
Includes tuition, some refreshments, venue and basic facilities.

Materials |
YOU BRING
- Range of pencils hard to soft (2H to 3B)
- About 10 sheets of A2 cartridge paper or pad
- Scissors, glue, fixative, charcoal
- Bulldog clips, Black conte, Pastels
- Rubber, good sets of water colour and acrylics
- Sketch book (preferably small hardback)
- Water colour brushes including a ½-inch flat
- Sheet of watercolour paper
- (If possible A2 drawing board)

- Drawing boards
- Easels
- Tables and chairs
- Box of spare materials
- Sponges, gum strip
- Example sketchbooks
- Water jars
- Palette knives and dishes
- Tissue paper etc
